Agree with @nguyen47 on skipping gels at 2 a.m.; when the aisle’s packed I ditch the freeze and use a Gum Getter roller, then a dry encap on a towel — no dark ring and I’m moving in 30 seconds… Swap the 4-inch scraper for a plastic putty knife to avoid fuzzing, and hit the crumbs with a pocket vac so they don’t track to high-limit.
